Anzac Day Week

Anzac Day 2015

Welcome back everyone.
Room 7 have this week been discussing the upcoming 100th Anniversary of Anzac day. We have been looking on the Internet, reading school journal stories, making our own poppies from paper plates, as well as doing some imaginative writing based imagining what life must have been like in the trenches.
The highlight of the week, however, was when Leo brought in the medals his grandfather had been awarded for his bravery during the North African campaign during the 2nd World War. Room 7 were quite privileged to be able to see these. Many thanks to Leo and his family for letting us look at them.

Solomon from Room 7 has also been very busy this week. In his spare time, he constructed a model of a World War One trench entirely from Lego. Nice job, Solomon.
